You know... I'm getting tired of a majority of people only choosing a fast Safety or linebacker and following the cone...
Yes, players do try and watch the way a QB is looking, but they do not blow thier assignment because of a make believe vision cone is moving across the field...
Next year EA definitely needs to make it where the defense cannot see your cone... I can understand the offense having the cone, but there is no good reason for the defense to see your cone. The only reason is so they can go directly to the cone which is not fair, and is not football.

If I see my opponent reading my cone, I try to throw him off by starting it on the opposite side of the field and moving it around a lot. Plus someone who takes over their safety takes a BIG chance. Yeah you could make a big play, but you can also get beat on a big one.

I try to do that sometimes... but a majority of the time people blitz and you don't have a chance to move the cone to another player especially on the other side of the field... Plus for some reason the cone moves very slow to the next reciever for me.
I don't know about anyone else, but I can turn my head and see what's in front of me instantly.

use the R3 stick and not the R2 button, works better for me. I hate the lag between receivers.

True R3 works better,,,takes a bit of practice to control it though. If you are not good at moving the cone,,you might try to call routes with receivers in the same "sector" of the field. Say, TE and WR over the middle, focus on the short TE up front and then read safety, if he bites on TE, throw long to WR when he get's inside the "cone Zone"...

You can't do that with lower rated QBs.

yeah definetely, I was thinking this the other day. I hate when you play a Ray Lewis or Brian Urlacher, guy uses him and runs sideline to sideline just about every play. I use the R2 method so its not THAT bad.
Eitherway though, I've ALWAYS hated how guys control a defender somtimes and they'll just run around like a mad man. Although even the best can be fooled, it just takes some work

yeah... but the guys who know how to blitz very effectivly and do it at the same time are even more dangerous.
