Well, I'm 34 last I checked, recently divorced (plenty of Madden time now) and work way to may hours during the week (bad thing about being on Salary). Anyhow,,,I was in the Marine Corps for 6 years,,,89-95, in the Gulf War, and "Operation Restore Hope" in Somalia. So,,I'm thinkin' about writing a book about my military time, many of "memorable" events. (side note,,,,I'm totally disappointed in the recent movie Jarhead, I was there and in the same type of unit and that whole movie made it a joke, totally embarrassing). Anyhow, Madden is my pleasure away from work, my hobbie I guess and I'm truly grateful for getting into a league such as this... What U have to do for sum luck in Vegas......

The statue shown with Zapp actually isn`t Caesar. It is his adopted son, Octavian. Later, he renamed himself, Augustus after making himself emperor.

Was Octavia his nieces son? ... I'm watching ROME on HBO, awesome show ... Yes. Octavians (Augustus) mother was the daughter of Caesars sister Julia. Octavia was Octavians sister who married Marc Antony. Marc Antony would leave her for Cleopatra.

Wish I had HBO. I`d love to see how they are depicting Roman life and compare it to what I have read or seen in documentarys.
Theirs was truly an advanced civilization for its time. It prospered for close to 1,000 years. Some of its structures and roads still stand today, 2,000 years later.

hmmm, not on the HBO show ... anyway the show was awesome, it's season final was last night ... I only watch drama on HBO, they just do it better ... Sopranos, Six Feet Under, both shows I stopped what i was doing to watch them along with Rome ... HBO does it best IMHO
Oh and I never realized the murder of Czar was actually a noble thing to do and that Brutus agonized so much over it

Brutus beleived he was doing the noble thing and was saving the Republic. Caesar was the "all powerful" emperor who consolidated all power to himself. Brutus believed by killing Caesar, he would actually save the Republic. Afterwards though, Marc Antony spoke out against Brutus and his fellow assassins. Because Caesar was loved by most Romans, Brutus and Cassius had to flee for their lives.
To make a long story short, both Brutus and Cassius ended up killing themselves. And Octavian (Augustus) became emperor.
