I kinda slept on this thread, but after seeing it,.....it need addressed asap
there is a HUGE difference in kicking out of bounds in the 50 yard range (which does not allow a good return guy to get ball, but nets a 50 yard punt)...those kicks take real stick skills and AIM, and Kudos to those owners..nice play, I understand kicking away from player..smart
but the other play I, and others speak of, is cheese...no questions asked......even the fastest return guy, can manually run back to that fast enough...

If I am correct bullet punting used to be the term for what you guys are describing. I remember this was a topic about a year ago. The issue was discussed but was shelved because the majority saw no problem with it and generally accepted it.
Since the league rarely changes rules during a season, this topic can be reviewed during the off season by the rules committee.

thanks Glad, good idea...and I and others can show you in a scrimmage how it is used..
I just figured it out myself after a game, but will NEVER use it in a game....90 yard punts are impossible

there is a problem in the game with this issue. however, there is also an issue of not being able to return a kick period. the fact that beast does kick to a returner is probably because he knows 9 times out of 10 if his opponent does not fair catch it, then he will have a chance to hit stick the returner with about 3 different defenders. maybe the best thing we could do is just put it in someones scouting report that they rocket punt or whatever and see if that becomes a problem with more than a couple of owners.

Actually I don't do it because of the Hackett, but it's cool you have the cheese mindset... lol
If I am close to the opponents endzone I'll punt to croners to pin them deep, but if it's a wide open field I'll punt in bounds to give the person a fair shot.

Well, I mostly punt straighter into the air as to not give the returner the option of returning it, because if he tries he gets SMACKED. Hope that's not cheesy. I only net about 40-45 yds a punt, but with almost no returns.
