Not sure you could do this last year, never tried it, but you can take the original downloaded roster file, adjust it, reorder it or whatever, and then save it with the original name, (autosave will do that for you) and then if it is loaded before you go online, it will be the same roster from your computer. I had previously asked a question in the forum about this, but no one knew then, that since you no longer have the "roster" option online that you could only adjust your roster once in the game. I think when they made downloaded rosters avail for franchise mode, that they incorporated being able to adjust rosters in your computer and hence that becomes the roster uploaded when you go online. Make sure that you don't change the original name or the server will not recognize it. They may have had this in 2004, but everybody just always adjusted them when they went online. This, of course, would have to be done on each updated roster. In all the forums I have have read previously, I have never seen a post regarding this, nor have I seen where EA has addressed this, even in FAQs.

Thanks, but I don't think I made it clear which file is which, so I will since I didn't do it above. The file that is downloaded to your computer when you go online becomes Rst(0)1. This file you cannot change. You will be asked to save this file and use the default name, Rost1. DO NOT rename this file. This file, you can adjust and change though. Seemingly, at least yesterday anyway, when I went online that is the file that was uploaded. I only had to go in and setup my defensive assignments and such. Anyway, hope this helps. When a new update comes, delete Rost1, load your new update and save it with the default name, Rost1. Go in and adjust your roster, save it, and you are ready to go again.

Hmmm ok I understand now. I'll do that cuz it's a pain in the @ss having to adjust my depth chart before every game...
Too bad you can't save your audibles...? or can you?

yes, your audibles and settings will be uploaded when you go online, at least yesterday it did mine. I had to pause to make one change but I think that was my fault for not changing my settings before going online .

So if someone plays a franchise and make their players ratings go up do their players have the higher ratings online? Or what if they trade or pick up free agents?

Not that I have read. The only thing that I have read on that is you can use the updated rosters in your franchise. I am not a franchise user so someone else would be able to give you more information.
