Well, as long as I have been in the league ( 8 seasons ) scouting reports were never popular. Only a handful of people ever did them. I think last season about 35 were done out of a possible 512 games.
If the committee decides to try them again, so be it. But I`m against trying to make them mandatory. We have enough to police as it is.

I love them. Maybe make an area for them on the forum, and let those do them that want to, especially this first season. It will help us all learn.

I noticed that all the scouting reports were starting to read the same. "Nothing special on special teams, plays good defense, likes the throw to his RB". All of those sayings were common.
But coming from a guy who came from a league that didnt care about stats, other then game stats, I welcome anything that would give the realistic, NFL simulation feel.
That includes individual stats, scouting reports or tendacies. When it comes down to it this game should be about having fun and improving. I view Madden as online chess anyway so if someone knows I like to run off tackle out of a I-form Normal setting then I say bring it on.

you can't get more indepth on a scouting report but he runs 48% and passes 52% its like bigdaddy said, they don't say hey he uses I for HB counter to the right on every 2nd down.
so to me there pointless sorry rock,

Don't get me wrong I do see the value in having them. My problem is the thoroughness of them. In the past the scouting reports became the same thing over and over "special teams nothing special, likes to run outside etc....."

I can see scouting reports being useful. I don't know why everyone gets so up tight about them. No one is saying that it is required!!! Are we afraid that someone may come on here and be to the point? That may break our game? We should not have a problem about anyone who wants to write a scouting report. It's better than nothing!!!!!!!

agree Dazed.....those that dont like them are generally scared to have their game revieled. Even if its vague, its something, and as long as they arent attacks of negativity, why not make an area for those that like them?
do them if ya want, if not..so be it.
kinda a simple solution.
