I'd love for most games in the league to be 17-10 24-20 type games. Those are the games that are the most enjoyable.

I really don't care which one we use just as long as I could play madden it does'nt matter to me. But for tha people that are for ALL MADDEN especially because of AI when I was playing BULLdawg near tha goal line I called a fade Pattern and his CB did not even move my guy went up and caught it ,now that is crazy so I see what some are making for tha ALL Madden push but I'm down for whateva

yea..in my scrimmage with the Rams.....i think I had 2 drives to end a half with under 30 sec to play in the half.....the bombs are there
I hate beating a dead horse, but just fear this issue will be year long...i CAN SEE IT
dONT GET ME wRONG.....i PLAY EITHER WAY, BUT there are some odd things this year of madden, that are crazy
maybe we all adapt, but so far I cant see it..its been there in every game, so dont think Im atacking and pushing for change, I came into this a bit late.
Look foward to the season, and all I hope for are iopen minds to address this issue again if it remains an issue....but it might not
I have played about 5 guys today in exibitions, and all hates all-pro, so that causes me concern.

even if 10 people hated All Pro in a 32 member league, that is still not even half of our members.
Like i said i played both ways and i see no computer difference. there is more dropped passes than broken up passes.
i still stick with there are "top tier" players here who have been getting more than 10 wins a season anyway.
being on all madden or All pro, wont change those owners who were always good to remain good and the ones that were bad going to remain bad, and the ones that are mid range will remain that way.
someone who is bad is going to lose to the good people. mid range people are going to be even with bad and good.
It doesnt matter if its on all pro or all madden. unless the players who are probably going to lose anyway want to feel better about the loss 41-0 compared to 24-10 then be my guess keep fighting for all madden.
but all pro keeps it at a level where even some of the bad players can atleast feel better and try to contend with the good players. even if there destined to lose anyway.
it keeps people playing. I ll be damned if i lose by 21 or even 14 EVERY GAME and still have the fire to play this game like i do now. on all pro i think it will keep games closer

I can't find my quote right now, but I remember saying something to the effect of "I would be the first to say I was wrong if AP was the wrong way to go this season."
To a certain degree, I was wrong. Getting into specifics is not a concern, maybe correcting some things in the league for next season is the important thing. I still stand by my reasoning for not doing it this season, but after the first 8 games of this season, seeing the outlandish arcade-style of play and the ball being snap out of the air by the WR in the middle of 4 DBs, very good DBs, and my WRs have done it as well, I have come to the conclusion that the proponents of going to AM may be the answer for next season. The way it's going for me, we could start now, lol, as it would not make a difference in my W-L record.
I would ask one thing, that if and/or when we make a switch to AM, that the defense is allowed to spread the line.
AM may not be the answer, but right now I admit that AM may be the best way to stop some of the Tiburon arcade-style of play that I have encountered this season.
So, I'll take my crow and eat it too!

i am still an all madden guy....makes a difference in the little things. I must say i was wrong in scores being real high on all-pro, but still think all madden creates a more realistic game overall with coverages, etc....
but we are all on the same level, so it works for both teams...

what acradish actions have you run into PTR that all madden will solve. I am with you on this, I think all madden would be better, and maybe we should try it in season 2 this year, but I am curious to the items that you reference that are arcadish and could be solved by changing some of the rules.
I think all rules should be open for discussion.

Wow, Tony, you are always asking questions of me that you already know the answers to, lol. I'm not going to get into a discussion on subjective opinions. When I say "arcade-style" play, you or someone else may call it "features" or "moves" that have been added to Madden, especially in the last couple of years. Just suffice it to say that the defensive AI seems to be a little better in dealing with some of the added offensive "features" in Madden for the last couple of versions, at least in my subjective opinion. As for the rules, my post is not to discuss the d-line rule. We have been down that road. I just reiterated that if a change is made from AP to AM in the future, that consideration might possibly be given to reinstituting that back into the playbooks. That is a side issue which has no bearing on how I now fell regarding AM. My post is simply directed to all those I disagreed with in this thread, that after half a season of this year's game that I now believe I was wrong in my assumption that AP would be better to roll with than AM. That's all. Nothing more, nothing less.

PTR I have no clue what your problem is or if it is with me. But I never question your actions or concerns, I was just curious. Better yet, I should just stay out of anything you post, make my life and yours easier. Oh yea, I forgot to add a bunch of LOL and smiley faces, but you understand.

Nothing in my post was meant to offend you. I have no clue as to what you are talking about.

I will stick by what I said from the begining. We should go to AM next season. I still ay we should have done it the first eason. Waiting though was o.k. too. Just that the defense really sucks. Like you said you can have three defenders around the WR and they won't knock the ball down.

Shanks and Glad, maybe this this AP/AM issue needs to be settled as quickly as possible, while members are deciphering whether or not to come back for Season 8, and the decision to go AM or AP hinges on thier decision.
I thought it was wise to wait a season to see how AP was before deciding, but now after a season with '07, I believe a decision needs to be made quickly for those in limbo.
Personally, I am now of the opinion that SAPML should change the rule from All Pro to All Madden.

I agree PTR. We will decide for sure which way we go ASAP.
For now, it might be prudent to start practicing anyway.
